Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Supervisor Hilda Solis Announce Their Endorsement of Holly Mitchell for Los Angeles County Supervisor
LOS ANGELES - Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43) and Los Angeles County First District Supervisor Hilda Solis announced today their endorsement of Senator Holly Mitchell to serve the Second Supervisorial District on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Rep. Waters represents parts of the Second Supervisorial District, including: Inglewood, Hawthorne, Lawndale, Gardena, and Torrance. Supervisor Solis served as U.S. Secretary of Labor under President Barack Obama before being elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2014.
Rep. Waters and Supervisor Solis shared "Holly Mitchell is a proven leader who has championed the needs of working families and children throughout her years in public service. She is committed to fighting homelessness, creating affordable housing and investing communities most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We enthusiastically endorse Holly Mitchell for County Supervisor."
