Gavin Newsom Endorses Senator Holly J. Mitchell for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
LOS ANGELES, CA – State Senator of California’s 30th District and candidate for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Holly J. Mitchell today received the endorsement of California’s Governor, Gavin Newsom.
“Creating a California for all requires strong leadership throughout the state,” Gavin Newsom said. “Senator Mitchell is adept at ensuring the needs of California’s most vulnerable populations are accounted for in funding and legislation that improves day-to-day lives and strengthens communities. The most populous county in our state and country requires the inclusive leadership and budget expertise that Senator Mitchell will provide as County Supervisor.”

Under her leadership she helped expand funding to services that support working families, the elderly, students and infants.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Governor Newsom” Holly J. Mitchell said. “The realities and hopes of residents in Los Angeles county are part of our shared values and future as a state.”
Gavin Newsom announced his endorsement in a press conference on Tuesday among Senator Mitchell’s constituents in Culver City. Newsom, a fellow Democrat and the former Lieutenant Governor of California, joins other prominent state elected officials who have endorsed Mitchell, including President pro Tempore Toni Atkins and Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara.
